This summer vacation was very different from the ones before due to the Corona virus. At the start of summer I was home mostly, I took an online class at Santa Monica College and I would try to workout everyday. In the middle part of the summer my parents started to let me hangout with a couple of friends as long as we were socially distanced. And at the end of summer my family and my friends family went to Big Bear lake for a couple of days. I am most excited for the capstone project this year in engineering. I am overall really excited to finish applying to colleges, the possibility of going back to school the second semester, and graduating high school.

So far in the Capstone project I feel like my group as done a good job overall on the project. At the start we had to many people so it took us a while to actually get started on the project. But once we figured that out we haven't had any problems.
I don't think we will really run into any major problems in the upcoming weeks. I think that we definitely run into problems with actually putting a physical thing together, but that is a problem that most groups will have. But I don't really think anything else will be an issue.
So far in my college application process I am working on my UC applications. I have finished filling out most of the information, now I have to do is write my personal insight questions. I have chosen my questions and started to write down ideas for them but now I actually have to write them. and then on when the Cal State application opens I will have to do that. I wish someone had told me that this process would make you realize that this is really the end of one stage of your life and the beginning of the next.

My interpretation of state would be your mental and physical state and well being. This image is one of many from "Where's Waldo?" books. The image shows lots of things happening and there is one guy who you're supposed to find who is Waldo. This image represents my state right now because I kind of feel lost among all the commotion happening, from the turmoil in our nation to trying to figure what I want to do with my life. I feel like there is a lot going on around me and I just have to figure out my place in it all.

I started by choosing which colleges I wanted to apply to. I researched and talked with my family about it. We created a list of colleges and then talked to my college counselor who helped me cut some of the colleges from my list and add some new ones. After having a final list I decided to start writing all my essays, this was the longest and most difficult part of the process. I have finished my personal insight questions and turned in my applications for the UC's that I am applying to. I am still working on my Common App essay so I can submit the rest of my applications at the beginning of the new year. My advice for future senior students is to start writing the essays as soon as possible and get it checked by multiple different people. The essays are one of the most important parts of the applications so it is necessary to spend a good amount of time on them. I am most excited to go and experience a new area that I haven't lived in before. I am also excited to be taking another step closer to accomplishing my life goals.

Products for profit are typically tangible items that are used by person on daily basis or helps with something in their life. A product that benefits others can be tangible but is mainly a service that helps a person and might not be something they use on a daily business.
the pros and cons of a product for profit is that it is a lot easier to make large amounts, there is more creativity behind it, there is money being made from the sales of the product, and it could be worth more. the cons of a product for profit are there is a high risk factor in the product failing, money is a necessity to start it, and making sure the product meets lots of regulations. the pros of a product of benefit is that money is not needed most of the time, you only need a couple people to start it, there is a simple model for it, and you deal with people directly. the cons of it are it is harder to increase the business size, it is time consuming, it is harder to make money, and it is typically worth less in monetary value.

I would say one of the hardest part of the capstone project was creating a product that we could actually make a prototype and test. We had to create something that would actually work and that it brought something new to the table. I am most proud of our prototype because we can actually see our idea actually working. I would definitely tell future capstone students that they should not get stuck on one idea or one design. They should be willing to be flexible or adaptable, that is the only way they will be able to create a feasible product.
